Two hardcore NDFB(S) militants nabbed, 12 kgs RDX recovered

Guwahati, Feb 5 (IBNS) : The security forces apprehended two hardcore militants of NDFB(S) and recovered 12 kgs RDX from them, preventing major mishaps in Assam's Chirang district, on Thursday, officials said.

Defence spokesman based in Guwahati said that following a tip-off, the Army Red Horn division and the Assam Police had jointly launched an operation at a remote area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.

The nabbed militants were identified as Lwmsao Narzary and Sistu Basumutary and security forces recovered 12 kgs RDX in possession from them.

On Feb 4, security forces had nabbed three cadres of the outfit group and seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from them.
