Tulsi Gabbard of U.S. Congress meets PM Modi

New Delhi, Dec 17 (IBNS) Visiting Member of the U.S. Congress, Representative Tulsi Gabbard on Wednesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here.

"The Democrat from Hawaii, who is the sole Hindu member of the U.S. Congress, discussed a broad range of issues with Prime Minister, including bilateral relations, environmental challenges, regional security challenges, terrorism and the killing of school children in Peshawar," said a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.

She complimented Prime Minister on his domestic initiatives for accelerating growth, promoting inclusive economic development, providing basic necessities and promoting cleanliness.

She expressed keen interest in India`s spiritual and cultural traditions and spoke about her efforts to promote them in the United States.
