Mumbai, May 12 (IBNS) Activist Trupti Desai, who was barred entry a month ago from entering the Haji Ali Dargah, on Thursday entered the shrine with security and offered prayers there, but did not enter the sanctum sanctorum, reports said.

The foremost Muslim shrine, Haji Ali's prevalent norms does not allow women there.

"Prayed that women be allowed to enter the inner sanctum," Desai was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Desai had earlier made the headlines with the Shani Shingnapur temple row, forcing the age old temple to alter their norms and allow women to enter the inner shrine.
