Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb meets Sumitra Mahajan

New Delhi, Mar 19 (IBNS): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Monday met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

Biplab said Mahajan wished him and the new government of Tripura state.

Sharing an image of the meeting on his Twitter handle, the CM wrote: "Met Hon'be Lok Sabha speaker Smt @S_MahajanLS ji today along with Dy CM Shri Jishnu Dev Varma ji. She congratulated and conveys her greetings to the newly formed Govt. and the people of Tripura."

Under Biplab Kumar Deb's leadership, BJP scripted a landmark victory in Tripura in the recently held Assembly polls.

The BJP ended Left Front government's rule in the state.

Deb took oath as the Chief Minister of Tripura recently.
