Transgender's decomposed body found in Maharashtra

Thane, May 21 (UNI) A decomposed body of a transgender was recovered from a house in Katemanivili of Kalyan of the district, police said on Tuesday.

Police said as many as 35-40 stab wounds were found on the body, and the matter was reported to them following foul smell coming from their house.

Sources said that the victim Dhiraj Vivek Salve Reva Desai and the accused Sushil Bhalerao was in love since last 10 years. Sushil used to pay a visit to her and was repeatedly assaulting the victim, suspecting a doubt on her character.

The body has been sent for postmortem to the government hospital at Kalyan however, no arrest is being made so far in this connection, police added.
