Top US official to visit India
Burns will discuss full range of bilateral issues with senior Indian officials during his two-day visit to the Asian nation.
"Deputy Secretary William J. Burns will travel to India July 10-11 in advance of the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue. He will discuss the full range of bilateral issues – including economic, energy, and security cooperation – with senior Indian officials," read a statement issued by the U.S. Department of State
" The Deputy Secretary will be the highest-level Administration official to visit since the inauguration of the new Indian Government, and this trip is an opportunity to further strengthen and deepen this important bilateral relationship," it said.
