Top BJP leaders meet ahead of Monsoon session

New Delhi, July 19 (IBNS): Ahead of the Monsoon Session of the Indian Parliament, top leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party met here on Sunday.

The leaders are reportedly meeting to finalise their strategy for the upcoming session of the Parliament.

The Congress on Sunday attacked the BJP and said in the past one year, since the party came to power, an environment of lawlessness has been created in the country.

"In the one-year rule of the BJP government an environment of lawlessness has been created," Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said.

The Congress demanded the removal of  External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje and MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Referring to Vyapam Case and the controversy related to the former IPL chief Lalit Modi, he said: "I am hopeful that when the Parliament session starts. the Prime Minister is going commence the proceedings  by saying that those involved or those against whom charges have been leveled in connection with the Lalitgate or the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister under whose leadership dozens of witnesses have been killed will announce their resignation."

Lalit Modi and top BJP leaders are engaged in a controversy over helping former IPL commissioner's  application for immigration to the UK in 2011.

Besides External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje had helped former IPL commissioner's  application for immigration to the UK in 2011 too, said reports.

The Congress had earlier also demanded Shivraj Singh Chouhan's resignation over the Vyapam recruitment scam.
