TMC activist found dead in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jun 16 (IBNS): A 30-year-old Trinamool Congress (TMC) activist was found dead on Thursday inside his bedroom at Raghunathpur Sukanta Palli area under Baguiati Police Station limits in Kolkata's Bidhannagar area, reports said.
According to reports, the body of TMC activist Prasenjit Das was spotted on Thursday morning by his parents.
 
According to police officials, a sharp weapon was recovered beside his body.
 
"His body has been sent for post mortem and after getting its report, cause of his death will be clear. Police have started investigation into the matter," Deputy Commissioner (Detective Department) of Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate Kankar Prasad Barui told IBNS, after visiting the scene.
 
No arrest has been made so far.
