Three jawans killed, four injured in Arunachal Pradesh
A defence spokesman said that, the incident took place at Topi area near Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh bordering with Myanmar.
"The convoy was four vehicles was ambushed by suspected Naga militants at the remote area, " the defence spokesman said.
The convoy was moving from army's base at Dinjan in Upper Assam's Tinsukia district to Longding in Arunachal Pradesh.
"Suspected militants had opened fire indiscriminately at the convoy in which three jawans killed on spot and four others injured and injured security personnel had rushed to army base hospital, " the official said.
In other hand, army suspected that NSCN-K had carried out the ambush with the help of ULFA(I).
Both Khaplang and Isak-Muivah factions of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) are active in Changlang, Tirap and Longding districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
