This govt is anti-people: Gandhi slams Centre

| | May 12, 2015, at 10:59 pm
New Delhi, May 12 (IBNS): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday attacked the Centre over the issue of land acquisition bill and said the government is 'anti- people'.

"This is an anti- farmer, anti-poor government," Gandhi said in the Parliament.

Accusing the government to work only for the elites, Gandhi called the Centre as a "suit-boot ki Sarkar".

He said: " Once upon a time,  leaders like Advaniji (LK Advani) and Sushmaji (Sushma Swaraj) used to  stand where I am right now present and they said the same things which I am saying. Now, they are on the other side and I really wonder what has changed today."

He said the Centre has 'killed' the land bill which was earlier brought by the UPA government.

Gandhi threatened that his party will protest against the bill  on the streets.

"We will take to the streets to stop the bill...This 'suit-boot ka kaam' will not go on," Gandhi said.
