Thirty-nine injured as train derails in Chennai
Chennai, Sept 4 (IBNS) Altogether 39 people were injured when four coaches of the Chennai Egmore-Mangalore Express derailed in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu early on Friday morning, reports said.
The injured were moved to a nearby hospital. Of them, three are still hospitalized; others were discharged after administering first aid.
The accident happened around 2:30 am. The train later left for its destination.
Chennai-bound trains from southern Tamil Nadu were diverted due to the accident.
