Terrorists kill Jammu and Kashmir sub-inspector Imtiyaz Mir

Srinagar, Oct 28 (IBNS): Terrorists have abducted and killed a sub-inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Pulwama district in South Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

The policeman has been identified as Imtiyaz Mir.

Kashmir Police Zone tweeted: "We have lost SI Imtiyaz of JKP in a terror incident at Pulwama. We condemn this gruesome killing and pay our sincere tribute to the officers. Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family at this juncture.@JmuKmrPolice."

Ex-Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid tweeted: "Just learnt the sad news about abduction and killing of Sub Inspector of Police Imtiyaz Mir. Targeting unarmed police man is no bravery and simply shows the cowardice and frustration of terrorists. May his soul rest in peace. Allaha reham Kare."
