Srinagar/UNI: One person was on Saturday arrested during multiple raids conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in terror funding case in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.

Official sources said that Nillah Palpora in Pattan was completely sealed and security forces were deployed in strength since early Saturday morning in the area. ''Later, an NIA team raided the residence of one Ghulam Mohammad Mir, a former employee of Military Engineering Service (MES),'' they said.

They said after the raid, the NIA team arrested Mir's son Mohammad Ashraf in connection with the terror funding case.

The sources said the investigation agency is also conducting raids at some other areas of Baramulla, including Mughalpora Saloosa.

The NIA and Enforcement Department (ED) have so far arrested over two dozen separatist leaders and businessmen in the valley in connection with terror funding.

The investigation agency has also questioned a number of media persons in the valley.
