Temperature comes to 2.6 Degrees Celsius in Delhi

New Delhi, De 29 (IBNS): With the nation gearing up for New Year celebration this week, the minimum temperature in the national capital dipped to 2.6 degrees celsius as of 5:30 am on Monday, media reports said.

According to Met department sources, the maximum temperature stayed at 19 degrees Celsius.

As many as 78 trains were delayed and 20 others rescheduled due to poor visibility. Air and rail traffic were severely affected in Delhi as a massive blanket of fog has settled in.

Rajdhani trains originating from Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Sealdah and Dibrugarh are among the ones running late. Shatabdi trains from Kalka and Lucknow were also rescheduled.

At least 28 flights were affected owing to low visibility at the Delhi airport. Sources said the runway visibility was between 150 and 200 metres while the general visibility was below 50 metres, sources said.
