Telangana extends night curfew till May 15

Hyderabad/UNI: The Telangana Government on Friday extended the night curfew for another seven days till 5 am on May 15 in view of the rapid spread of Covid-19 cases in the second wave.

The extending orders were issued by Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar as the present night curfew is ending on Saturday.

The government had imposed the night curfew from 9 pm to 5 am on April 20 for a period of 10-days and later extended it for 7 days ending on May 8.

Hospitals, pharmacies, medical diagnostic laboratories, media and among others emergency services are exempted from the night curfew.

In another order, Somesh Kumar restricted marriage related gatherings not exceeding 100 and 20 for a funeral or last rites related gatherings by ensuring social distancing, wearing of mask, and other Covid related protocols.
