Hyderabad, July 4 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old girl's throat was slit by a man in full public view in front of her home in Telangana's Adilabad district, media reports said.
According to reports, the brutal act was done by 22-year-old Mahesh, who was the victim's neighbour, as she rejected his advances.

Mahesh has been arrested by the police. He reportedly wanted to marry the girl, identified as Sandhya.

Mahesh attacked Sandhya on Saturday afternoon outside her home in Bhainsa town with a kitchen knife and repeatedly slit her throat and then ran away, said reports.

Sandhya bled to death after the attack.

Last year, Sandhya had lodged a complaint with police against Mahesh for harassing her.

According to police, Mahesh did not want her to get married to anyone else.
