New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav tied the nuptial knot to his childhood friend in a quiet ceremony with family in Delhi on Thursday.

Tejashwi Yadav, the younger son and political heir of RJD chief Lalu Yadav, was the only one among his siblings not married.

His sister Rohini Acharya shared pictures of the wedding on her social media account.

For the wedding, Tejashwi opted for a golden sherwani and the bride was dressed in a red lehnga.

"Lots of love, blessings and happiness for my newly married couple," Rohini said in her tweet.

Elder brother Tej Pratap also tweeted pictures of the wedding, which was attended by close friends and family.

A senior RJD leader said the wedding was a family affair and added that Tejashwi and Rachel had studied together in the school in Delhi.

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav attended the ceremony.

Tejashwi is the youngest son of the RJD chief, and was the chief ministerial candidate of the grand alliance which included the Congress and Left parties.
