Tamil Nadu : 31-member Palaniswamy Ministry to take oath

Chennai, Feb 16 (IBNS) : A 31-member Ministry headed by Edappadi Palaniswamy will take oath at 4 30 pm on Thursday.

According to The Hindu, all  members of outgoing Cabinet except Panneerselvam and Ma Foi K. Pandiarajan have been retained.

Dindigul Srinivasan will be number two in seniority in the new Cabinet. Sengottaiyan is ranked No 3.

The Government, third in two months, will be formed following an invitation by Governor C Vidyasagar Rao to Palaniswamy, a protege of AIADMK Secretary General VK Sasikala, who is now in jail.

Palaniswamy has to go through a confidence vote in the Assembly in the next 15 days to prove majority.

Dindigul Srinivasan - Forest

Sengottaiyan - School Education - He is the new minister. He is replacing MaFoi K. Pandiarajan.

C Vijaya Baskar - Health

D Jayakumar - Fisheries

M C Sampath - Industries

Karupannan - Environment

Thangamani - Electricity

Velumani - Municipal Administration
