New Delhi, Apr 18 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj's look in Iran on Monday invited several criticism on social networking site.
During a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Swaraj was seen in pictures wearing a pink sari and a matching shawl draped over her head.

The image have gone viral and invited a debate on whether she was right to cover her head.

In Iran, the law orders all women to cover up. Some women dignitaries have tried to resist it but did not meet success.

One Tarek Fatah tweeted: "This is embarrassing @SushmaSwaraj. You could've worn a Sari and pulled the Pallu over yr head."

Another Kailash Wagh ‎supported Fatah and wrote: "@TarekFatah @SushmaSwaraj yes. MEA is supposed to represent India and Indian culture. Will HE Iranian President wear Indian dress in India?"

A woman named Sona posted: "I didn't know Sushma Swaraj went to Iran to fight Ayatollah's dress code and reform the country."
