New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court will pass verdict on the review plea filed by one of the convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape case at 1 pm on Wednesday, media reports said.

Justice R Banumathi-led three judge bench which also includes Justices AS Bopana and Ashok Bhushan heard the petition.

The hearing was scheduled on Wednesday after Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sharad Arvind Bobde had recused himself of the case a day ago.

The CJI recused himself of the case as one of his family members had represented the victim's family in the Supreme Court earlier.
