New Delhi, Oct 2 (IBNS): Sahara Group chief Subrata Roy has been sent back to his cell in the Tihar jail after his stay period at an air conditioned facility in the complex to negotiate sale of overseas hotels ended.
The Supreme Court had earlier extended Roy's stay at the Tihar Jail conference hall facility by 15 days.

His lawyer had requested the court to extend Roy's stay in the conference hall for negotiations for sale of overseas hotels.

The group was earlier provided 10 working days to negotiate sale of off-shore property from conference room in Tihar Jail.

Roy has been provided an office with 600 sq ft of space inside the Tihar jail complex, where he is able to hold video conferences, use computers and receive visitors to try to sell or mortgage the hotels.

Roy is in Tihar Jail after his arrest for allegedly defrauding investors of over Rs 200 billion.
