Pune/UNI: The Maharashtra Deputy chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday indicated strict restrictions in the state, after ten state ministers and more than 20 MlAs were found Covid positive.

He was in Pune to pay tribute at " Jaystambh" military monument on the occasion of the 204th anniversary of the Koregaon Bhima battle.

Ajit Pawar said people are not following the norms and rules laid by state government to tackle the disease.

The government will be compelled to take strict restrictions if people do not abide by the rules, warned Pawar.

He further said Maharashtra government has decided to develop the Vijay Stambh area at Koregaon Bhima by allotting and acquiring more land for the convenience of people who are coming here every year to pay tributes.
