A stone tumbled down the roof of Barah temple located inside Sri Jagannath temple in Odisha's coastal Puri city on Saturday.

This small temple dedicated to the deity Barah is situated inside the Sri Jagannath temple premises in front of the Vimala temple.

According to a report of the temple security, the stone fell early in the morning and no one was injured in the incident.

The ASI officials on being informed about the incident reached the spot and examined the damaged portion.

Official sources told UNI it would be repaired soon and ruled out any danger to the temple.

The 12th century Sri Jagannath temple being a national monument, has been entrusted to the ASI for repair, preservation, and conservation of the famous shrine.
