Special envoy of the Sultan of Oman calls on PM

New Delhi, June 3 (IBNS): The special envoy of the Sultan of Oman Foreign Minister Yousuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at South Block in New Delhi on Tuesday.

He conveyed the greetings of the Sultan and reaffirmed the importance of the relations with India.

The Prime Minister conveyed his deep appreciation of the Sultan of Oman`s gesture and said he looked forward to further strengthening the close ties between the two countries.

"They discussed ways to increase the trade and investment between the two countries. The Prime Minister also thanked the Sultan of Oman for looking after the welfare of 700,000 Indians living in Oman," the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said in a statement.
