Sonia, Rahul are brains behind anti-Sanatana rhetoric: JP Nadda

Jashpur (Chhattisgarh)/IBNS: Tearing into the Congress, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda Friday alleged that the former party’s erstwhile heads Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul gave the anti-Sanatana Dharma agenda to the DMK and other parties that constitute the “haughty combine” known as the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA).

Addressing a public meeting coinciding with the flagging off of the BJP’s second Parivartan Yatra in Congress-ruled and election-bound Chhattisgarh, the visiting leader said, “Gandhi is maintaining silence over the Sanatana issue. Mr Rahul goes abroad and alleges that the Constitution is imperilled in Bharat but does not utter a word regarding the insult to Sanatana Dharma. Does the Constitution say that any faith can be insulted?

"Rahul, your shop of love sells items of hate. Those individuals showcase themselves as secular. I wish to ask Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel whether he concurs with this diatribe against Bharat’s tradition,” he said.

Nadda pointed out that, earlier this month, DMK bigwig and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udayanidhi compared Sanatana Dharma with serious maladies.

“No stone was left unturned. The following day, Congress head Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank spoke in an objectionable manner,” he added.

Turning his gun on Baghel, the BJP President said, “The Congress deceived and misled this state’s populace for the past half a decade. Was even a solitary manifesto promise fulfilled? Did mothers and sisters receive monthly sums of Rs 500 per head? A hollow assurance was provided that impoverished women would be given four cooking gas cylinders free of cost. Did the peasant and the tribesman receive land plots? What about unemployment allowance?"

"Like elephants, Mr Baghel possesses two sets of teeth – one for show and the other for corruption. Scams were perpetrated vis-à-vis liquor, rice, coal, urea and even cow dung! I am saddened to mention that he prevented 12 lakh people from benefiting under PMAY by not forwarding related documents to the national capital."

"A waitlisted family of five was buried alive when their makeshift dwelling collapsed. Anti-tribal Baghel placed the Charan Paduka Yojana on the backburner and declined President Droupadi Murmu’s invitation to the G20 banquet. This is the respect he has for an adivasi president? Mr Kharge was absent during flag-hoisting at the Red Fort, Delhi," he said.
