Soldier killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Jammu, Oct 16 (IBNS): In a fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistani rangers in Balakote Tarkundi forward sector in Mendhar area of Jammu on Sunday killed at least an army soldier, officials said.

"An army trooper manning a forward post in Tarkundi received sniper shot in the evening and died on the spot," an official in Jammu  said.

Relationship between India and Pakistan deteriorated in recent times since militant attack in Uri town of Jammu and Kashmir left at least 19 jawans killed.

India has blamed Pakistan for the attack.
