Solan building collapse: Six soldiers die, rescue operation going on

Solan, July 15 (IBNS): At least six soldiers and a civilian were killed as a four-storey building collapsed in Himachal Pradesh's Solan area on Sunday, media reports said on Monday.

Several other people were injured in the incident.

When the building collapsed, at least 37 people were feared to be trapped under the rubble.

So far, 17 army personnel and 11 civilians have been rescued, while 7 bodies retrieved from the debris, reported News18.

Seven Army personnel are still feared to be trapped under the debris.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur told media that the reason for the collapse will be known  after the report will come out.

Rescued people were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The National Disaster Response Force team is also particiapating in the rescue process.
