Ranchi, May 5 (IBNS): Fourteen people have been arrested for allegedly raping and killing a 16-year old girl in Jharkhand, media reports said.

Six accused men are still missing, police told NDTV.

After raping her on Thursday, the girl was set on fire at her home by the accused men a day later.

The incident occurred in Chatra district of the state.

The girl's family said the victim was kidnapped by the men on Thursday when none was present at home.

The men allegedly took the girl to a desolate place and raped her.

When the girl's father went to to the council head of the village, the accused were asked to do sit-ups and pay a fine.

Reacting to the punishment, the men allegedly stormed into the girl's house and burnt her alive after beating up her parents.
