Mumbai/IBNS: Singer B Praak has decided not to appear on popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia's TRS or The Ranveer Show in the wake of the host's controversial remark on a comedy programme.

Ranveer's remark has stirred a massive row in the country with netizens calling him out besides registration of police cases against the podcast.

In this backdrop, B Praak wrote on Instagram, "I was about to go on Ranveer's podcast but now I will not after his pathetic thinking and words dosto dekhlo yeh..."

A First Information Report [FIR] has been registered against Ranveer Allahbadia and others in Assam over the YouTuber's controversial remark which he passed on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent.

Besides Allahbadia, the others named in the FIR include Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Makhija, and Samay Raina.

They have been accused of promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussions on the show.

While multiple complaints have been filed against the YouTuber, the Assam police were the first to file an FIR.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia has apologised for his remark and said: "My comment wasn't just inappropriate but was also not funny. Comedy is not my forte. I'm just here to say sorry... I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just offering an apology."

"I personally had a lapse in judgement, it wasn't cool on my part. The podcast is watched by people of all ages [so] I don't want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly," the young podcaster, who has interviewed the likes of union minister Nitin Gadkari, actress Priyanka Chopra, spiritual leader Sadhguru, cricket great Sourav Ganguly, said in a video message.

What is the controversy about?

During the latest episode of Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent, Ranveer asked a contestant about the size of his p***s and then asked him to suck his d**k.

Ranveer was heard saying in a viral video, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to make it stop forever?"

Social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina and content creator Ashish Chanchlani, who were the co-panelists, were flabbergasted while they were laughing.

The remark has not only irked the social media users with several of them being his followers, an official complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and Maharashtra Women's Commission against the podcaster.
