Several JK districts achieve 100 percent vaccination target

Jammu/IBNS: Jammu and Kashmir has achieved the target of 100 percent covid vaccination in the 15-18 years age group for the first dose in the Ganderbal, Shopian, Anantnag and Poonch districts.

Commenting on this milestone, Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Vivek Bhardwaj, said vaccination among the youngsters is vital to complete the safety chain in the society.

Our department is running a vigorous campaign to motivate people to get vaccinated, he said.

Resultantly, over two crore eligible people have been vaccinated in the union territory.

We shall continue to pursue the goal of 100 percent vaccination in all age groups in J&K, he added.

Overall, 100 percent in the above 18 years age group and 60 percent in the 15-18 years age group have been vaccinated with the first dose.
