Security for separatist leaders - Shabir Shah, Abdul Ghani Bhat, 3 others to be withdrawn

| @indiablooms | Feb 17, 2019, at 12:27 pm

New Delhi/Srinagar, Feb 17 (UNI/IBNS) In a major post-Pulwama terror attack decision and in a pro-active step against 'separatist' leaders in Jammu and Kashmir, the government has decided to withdraw "all security and government facilities" to five such leaders.

Top sources in the Jammu and Kashmir government told UNI that the five leaders are Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Abdul Ghani Bhat, Bilal Lone, Hashim Qureshi and Shabir Shah.

"All security and any vehicles provided to them will stand withdrawn by today evening," the source said.

"No security forces or cover should be provided, under any pretext, to them or any other separatist," sources said adding if they have any other facilities provided by the government, they are to be withdrawn forthwith.

A suicide bomber of Jash-e-Mohammad terror outfit rammed an IED-laden car into a vehicle carrying CRPF at Goripora, Awantipora on Thursday afternoon leaving 40 personnel martyred.

According to reports, the vehicle used by the terrorists was a Mahindra Scorpio and it carried more than 350 kg of explosives.

The attack left 14 CRPF jawans injured.

The latest attack triggered a nationwide outrage and worsened the India-Pakistan relationship further with the Indian government slamming their hostile neighbour for sheltering the terrorists behind the attack openly.
