Panaji, Apr 22 (IBNS) A local Panaji court issued a warrant to search Defence Minister, Manohar Parikar's home in order to trace former Goan Minister Francisco 'Mickky' Pacheco, who has been reported to be absconding for the past couple of weeks now.

The Police had convicted Pacheco as he was the prime accused in a recent assault case.

The Defense Minister's Delhi home is the place where the accused assailant of the 2006 'slapgate' case has been speculated to be hiding at present.

The present Chief Minister of Goa, Laxmikant Parsekar, has said that they will challenge the decision.

Charges of extortion, assault, bigamy and money laundering are some grounds on which several cases are pending against the President of the Goa Vikas Party.

Pacheco had to resign from his post of tourism minister after his name got involved in connections with the suicide of a woman named Nadia.
