SC's observation on judges' appointment a reality check : Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Aug 13 (IBNS) : Taking a potshot at the Narendra Modi Government Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said r the Supreme Court’s scathing observation on appointment of judges, saying it was a reality check for the PM.

“Reality check from Supreme Court for the PM : No Govt of Modi, by Modi, for Modi,” he said in a tweet.

The Supreme Court on Friday came down heavily on the  Centre over non-execution of collegium’s decision to transfer and appoint Chief Justices and judges in High Courts,

The apex court said it will not tolerate the “logjam” and will intervene.

“The vacancy in high courts has risen to 43 per cent and there are four million cases in the high courts. The whole system is collapsing,” a five-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice TS Thakur said.
