SC refuses to hear petition challenging NEET Ordinance for students'sake
New Delhi, May 27 (IBNS) The Supreme Court on Friday declined to hear petitions challenging the NEET ordinance saying that it will confuse students further, according to media reports.
The public interest litigation said that the May 24 Ordinance was brought to counter the April 28 judgement of the apex court that said admission to all medical and dental colleges in India would be only through NEET.
Countering the PIL, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi said the Ordinance was promulgated for states like Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, who already held the state-level entrance examinations.
SC said the petition will he heard in July.
