Saradha: Madan Mitra admitted to SSKM, court rejects his bail plea

Kolkata, Feb 11 (IBNS): Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader and West Bengal sports and transport minister Madan Mitra was admitted to the state owned Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial (SSKM) hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday afternoon.
On Wednesday noon, he complained of chest pain and breathing trouble after which Alipore jail authorities sent him immediately to the SSKM hospital.
 
Madan Mitra's wife, elder son and elder daughter-in-law came to SSKM to meet him.
 
According to the hospital sources, the TMC leader is admitted in cabin-20 of Woodburn Block in SSKM and he is stable now.
 
Meanwhile, the Alipore court rejected his bail plea on Wednesday.
 
Mitra's lawyers plead for their client's bail. However, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)'s lawyers opposed of this bail plea. 
 
After listening to both sides, judge Samaresh Prasad Choudhury rejected the bail plea.
 
On the other side, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday interrogated the accountant of Saradha group Amrin Ara, two businessmen-Sanjay Basu and Ramlal-in connection with Saradha scam for few hours at CGO Complex in Salt Lake.
