Samajwadi Party promises total farm loan waiver in its manifesto

Lucknow, Apr 5 (UNI) Samajwadi Party on Friday released its poll manifesto with giving a new view that the party wants a new vision in the country and total farm loan waiver along with one lakh jobs every year.

However, the party trying to project itself as a champion of backwards in this manifesto has targeted the upper caste in a big way.

Party president Akhilesh Yadav, while releasing the manifesto, said that without social justice progress can’t be achieved. “Development is confined to only handful of people. Data about social indices should be made public,” he said with adding that his party wants a new vision.

He said that there is a huge gap between rich and poor, we want to make India prosper.

Mr Yadav said Samajwadi Party is in favour of an absolute farm loan waiver and the party was promising one lakh jobs every year." The current government claims development; had there been development then there wouldn’t have been so much unemployment," he said.

He said rich 10 percent ( uniformly upper caste) control more than 60 percent of the wealth.

Though the manifesto has no mention about the minorities in the manifesto, but during the press meet he said that ," I am for the Muslims."

The SP president said that now the upper caste should be more concerned about the development of the poor.

The SP manifesto or vision document focuses on the unity of backwards, dalits and minorities against the upper caste

But in a certain shift from being termed as a party of the Muslim as once Mulayam Singh Yadav was even called as Mulla Mulayam, did not have a word minority in the manifesto.
