Kolkata, May 18 (IBNS): Journalist and author Sagarika Ghosh, who often courts controversy with her activities on Twitter, was trolled on the micro blogging site after she slammed the Indian media for the 'lack of balls'.

It all boomeranged after Sagarika, wife of celebrated news anchor Rajdeep Sardesai, asked the Indian media to learn from their American counterpart and develop some balls.

The 52-year-old, who has been a sharp critic of the incumbent central government, wrote, "Wish Indian media would LEARN from American media and develop some BALLS! The competitive kow-towing to government is just sickening."

Following her tweet, some users questioned her role in the media while some questioned her duty towards the country.

A user who goes by the name Intolerant Doctor wrote, "America Killed Osama bt no media defended him lik u n ur chamcha gang did 4 ishrat yakub afzal n burhan..lot 2 learn."

While another, Sourav Singh said, "Sometime America sometime Pakistan sometime UK, do u feel anything good about India?? U n Ur husband made career of it !!"

The users didn't even leave out her husband, as one suggested that he husband should be first to develop some.

"First man to develop should be your hubby Rajdeep. Even @rahulkanwal is proving his balls!!!" CA SS Balakrishnan tweeted.

Some even accused her of "Pot calling the kettle black!"
