Rupee hits record low, Congress mocks Modi government
Mumbai/New Delhi, Aug 14 (IBNS): The Indian currency touched the record low on Tuesday with one US dollar corresponding to Rs. 70 08, media reports said.
This is the all time low of Indian currency.
Congress, the country's principal opposition party, seized the opportunity to criticise the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government.
In a sarcastic tone, the Congress tweeted, "Modiji finally managed to do something that we couldn't do in 70 years."
