New Delhi, Dec 10 (IBNS) : Pawan Ruia, Chairman of the Ruia Group, has been arrested by West Bengal police in Delhi for his alleged involvement in the fire incident at the closed unit of Jessop & Co factory Kolkata.

The West Bengal Government and the fire department had filed non-bailable FIRs against Ruia shortly and ordered a CID probe into the incident, which took place on October 16 this year.

The 196-year-old Jessop, once a blue chip company, was in the midst of a controversy as the state Government said Ruia is the owner of  the company, while the industrialist claimed that he is no longer associated with it.
