Bhubaneswar, Jan 9 (IBNS): Rejecting his bail plea, a local court in Bhubaneswar on Monday extended Trinamool Congress (TMC) Parliamentary leader Sudip Bandyopadhyay's CBI custody by 4 days.

As Bandyopadhyay's 6-day CBI custody term ended on Monday, he was produced in a special court in Odisha's Khurdha and sent to CBI custody till Jan 12.

Earlier on Jan 3, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) booked Sudip Bandyopadhyay in connection with 17000-crore Rose Valley chit fund scam.

However, Bandyopadhyay will be produced to the same court again on Jan 12.
