Robert Vadra land deals: Dhingra commission seeks more time to submit report

New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS): The Justice Dhingra commission, which has been shouldered the responsibility of inquiring on the alleged land deals of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra in Haryana, has sought for more time, just few minutes ahead of the submission of its report, media reports said.
The commission sought the extension of time amid criticisms for the inquiry that Justice Dhingra summoned neither Vadra nor senior bureaucrat Ashok Khemka, who tried to cancel the land deal that's been described as corrupt.

Earlier in the day  Vaadra said he is being used for "political gains," and that "baseless allegations" have been levelled against him by governments.

In a Facebook post, he said, "Almost a decade of governments false and baseless accusations on me! They cannot prove anything without proof, and there is nothing there to prove.”

"I will always be used for political gains, I know ... But I will walk with my head held high, as in time and with the truth which will conquer incorrect perceptions, created about me," he said in the same post.

The Justice S.N. Dhingra Commission enquiry report into controversial land deals in Haryana was scheduled to be submitted on Thursday.

The one-man Dhingra commission, set up by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana in May 2015, is probing controversial land deals in Haryana, including Vadra's land deals.
