New Delhi, Dec 5 (IBNS): In a bad news for food lovers, the Delhi government food safety department has claimed that rice dishes served by popular restaurant chains KFC and Sagar Ratna are not safe for intake, reports said.

The department has told the Delhi High Court that traces of harmful artificial colouring were found in the food.

Samples were collected from KFC's restaurant at Connaught Place and from Sagar Ratna's outlet in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, which were found to be unsafe.

A legal action has been initiated against the companies.

Action has been initiated against a third restaurant, Bikanerwala, as one of their samples was also found to be sub standard, reports said.
