Requesting PM Modi to arrest all AAP ministers and MLAs at one go: Arvind Kejriwal on Satyendar Jain arrest

New Delhi/IBNS: Reacting to the arrest of his key minister Satyendar Jain, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Thursday slammed the Modi government in the Centre for allegedly misusing investigating agencies to target his colleagues.

In a press brief, Kejriwal, who heads Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), said sarcastically, "I request the PM to arrest all AAP ministers and MLAs together instead of one by one. Arresting one by one hampers administrative work."

Defending Jain, who was arrested Monday by the Enforcement Directorate in an alleged money laundering case, Kejriwal said he has inputs that false charges will also be brought against his deputy and city Education Minister Manish Sisodia.

"I have inputs that Manish-ji, who is the best Education Minister in independent India, will also be arrested on false charges just like Satyendra-ji," the Chief Minister of the national capital said.

The probe agency has alleged that Jain was involved in hawala transactions with a Kolkata-based firm in 2015-16, said reports.

A hawala system involves two parties transacting money with local agents carrying out the job on their behalf without the funds actually passing through formal banking channels.
