Republic Day terror plot foiled: Jammu and Kashmir police bust Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module

Srinagar/IBNS: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said a major terror attack planned at a time when the nation is gearing up to celebrate Republic Day was averted as the cops have busted a Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module.

Police said five terrorists were arrested.

Police said explosive materials were recovered from them.

The arrested people were identified as Aijaz Ahmed Sheikh of Sadarbal Hazratbal,Umar Hameed Sheikh of Asaar Colony Hazratbal,Imtiyaz Ahmed Chikla of Asaar Colony Hazaratbal,Sahil Farooq Gojri of Ellahibagh Soura and Naseer Ahmed Mir of Sadarbal Hazratbal.

India will celebrate Republic Day on Jan 26.
