Ready for CBI probe into Kerala woman's rape and murder : Rajnath Singh

Kochi, May 6 (IBNS) The Centre on Friday said it is ready for a CBI probe into the rape and murder of a 30-year-old Dalit law student in Kerala.

"The Centre is is ready for CBI probe," media reports quoted  Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh as saying. 

A 30-year-old law student, who hailed from a poor family, was allegedly subject to rape and brutal assault using sharp edged weapons before being murdered at her house in Perumbavoor on April 28.

 
The incident sent a shockwave and triggered uproar across the country. The investigation into the case has not made much headway.
