New Delhi, Aug 23 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to visit Kashmir on Wednesday to mitigate the unrest that is rocking the region, according to media reports.

The details of his two-day visit are still being worked out, the media reported on Tuesday.

The Indian Express reported earlier on Tuesday that concerned over the situation in the Valley, the Centre has initiated behind-the-scene talks at the level of the Union Home Minister to find a way out.

Quoting sources, it further reported that the first meeting with 10 people was held in Singh’s office on August 18 and the second was held Sunday with 14 people, including senior functionaries of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also said that it was necessary to have dialogues to end the turmoil in Kashmir.
