Rajasthan: Robbery attempt foiled, 3 held in Ajmer

Ajmer/UNI: The Beawar police has foiled an attempt robbery of around Rs 18 lakhs by arresting three people.

According to Circle Inspector Ramendra Singh Hada, the accused trio were trying to flee after stealing an amount of Rs 17,9200 from the tour company office at the third floor of City Tower located in front of Sunaran Chaupar Talera Market, on Friday.

On receiving information about the crime from a shop owner in the locality, the police rushed to the spot.

Police recovered the money from a bag after taking the company accountant into custody.

Within hours, two more people were nabbed in connection with the theft.

Police said they have arrested accountant Kalyan Singh, Devendra Singh and Vinod, all residents of Jawaja.
