Rajasthan Polls 2023: Ashok Gehlot files nomination from Sardarpura seat

| @indiablooms | Nov 06, 2023, at 07:38 pm

Jaipur/UNI: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday filed his nomination papers from the Sardarpura assembly constituency of Jodhpur for the upcoming assembly elections.

The elections are scheduled to be held on November 25.

Before filing his nomination papers, Gehlot took blessings from his sister Vimla.

While speaking to media, Gehlot claimed that because of the manner in which the Congress government has worked for the people of Rajasthan in the last five years by implementing various historical and public welfare schemes, there is no anti-incumbency wave in the state.

He said in such a situation, he is hopeful that Congress will again come to power in the state.

Terming the public as supreme, he said the schemes were brought in and implemented for all sections of the state.

The Chief Minister said these schemes were being discussed and appreciated not only in the state but in the country.

He said ten guarantees have been implemented in the state and seven more have been announced, and he is hopeful that the public will like them.

In response to a question, he targeted the central government and said the way the institutions like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are being misused, the public will answer, and it would not be surprising if it becomes an issue in the assembly and the Parliament after the upcoming elections.
