Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot posts pictures of him feeding cow

| @indiablooms | Feb 08, 2019, at 08:12 pm

Jaipur, Feb 8 (IBNS): Rajasthan's Congress chief minister Ashok Gehlot today posted pictures on Twitter of him doing "gawseva" (taking care of cows).

"I was fortunate to be able to take care of cows at Sachaur's Pathameda Gaushala. I also spoke at their silver jubilee celebrations," Gehlot wrote in Hindi on Twitter.

With the tweet were accompanying pictures of him feeding a cow.

This comes a day after the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh in its state budget on Thursday allocated nearly Rs 450 crore for maintenance and construction of cow shelters.

According to reports, the BJP government in the state, in its 2019-20 budget, allocated Rs 247 crore for cow shelters in rural areas and Rs 200 crore for Kanha Gaushala and Destitute Cattle Shelter Scheme in urban areas.

Clearly, the Congress wants to woo all kinds of voters ahead of the general elections that is scheduled to take place in a few months.
