Rains bring back cold conditions in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Mar 13 (UNI): The fresh spell of rain and snowfall brought back the cold conditions in this hill state, where maximum temperatures went down by three to four notches on Wednesday.

Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded 4.4 cm fresh snowfall till 1630 hrs, while high reaches of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur also experienced a fresh spell of snowfall.

High peaks of Sirmaur, Shimla, Kullu, Kinnaur and Chamba also experienced snowfall.

Tourist resort Chamba received 19 mm rainfall, while Kufri registered 16 mm, Dalhousie seven mm, Tissa three mm and Bhuntar one mm.

Keylong registered a maximum temperature of one degree Celsius, while Kufri recorded 4.1 degrees, Kalpa 5.5 degrees, Dalhousie 7.4 degrees, Shimla 10.6 degrees, Dharamshala and Manali 10.8 degrees each and Bhuntar recorded 12.3 degrees.

Sundernagar stood at 15.3 degrees, Solan 16 degrees, Mandi 16.8 degrees, Hamirpur 17.5 degrees, Bilaspur and Nahan 18 degrees each, Kangra 18.6 degrees, Chamba 19 degrees and Una recorded 19.3 degrees, respectively.
